After two games on the road, Cornerstone Charter is heading back home. They will take on the Bethany Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Cornerstone Charter suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 79-37 defeat at the hands of Piedmont Classical. Cornerstone Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-16.
The losing side was boosted by Tristan Cole, who scored 17 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Spencer Knight, who scored two points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Bethany's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 13th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Carver, falling 86-39.
Cornerstone Charter bumped their record down to 4-10 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Bethany, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.
Cornerstone Charter was able to grind out a solid victory over Bethany in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 48-35. Does Cornerstone Charter have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bethany turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
