Palmer Ridge has won three straight games at home, while Durango has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Bears will host the Demons at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Palmer Ridge's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-0 victory over Air Academy. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bears' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Kadets are ranked 96th).

Cole Harris
10/03/25 @ Air Academy | 3 |
09/04/25 @ Doherty | 2 |
08/29/25 vs Ponderosa | 2 |
09/26/25 @ Mesa Ridge | 1 |
09/19/25 vs Longmont | 1 |
Cole Harris went supernova, throwing for 255 yards and three TDs while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt. Those three passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Toth, who picked up 37 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Palmer Ridge's run defense was locked in: Air Academy could only muster -0.1 yards per carry. While three picked up at least three total tackles, Toth stood above the rest. He picked up 37 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Palmer Ridge didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.6.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Durango). They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Rampart 47-7. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Palmer Ridge better keep an eye on Grady Feeney. He was instrumental in Durango's win, rushing for 156 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 148 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 passes. Gus Halls was another key player, rushing for 113 yards and one score on only six carries.
One reason for the win was Durango's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Rampart's QB won't forget Carson Palmer anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Dawson McInnes got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Palmer Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Durango, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Palmer Ridge has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 222.5 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Durango struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 196.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Palmer Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Durango in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 24-21. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Demons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
