Although he is the son of one of the top defensive catchers in Major League Baseball history, Benito Santiago Jr. has had little interaction with his father over the years, according to this story in the
Miami Herald. Nevertheless, Santiago has become an accomplished catcher and figures to be drafted somewhere in the first 10 rounds of the MLB draft. He has helped Coral Springs Christian to a 20-7 record while batting .379 with 12 RBIs, two doubles and one triple.
