The Rocky River Pirates were the 58-50 winner over the North Ridgeville Rangers when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Rocky River's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Dewey, who scored nine points. Dewey has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Elizabeth Lang was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Rocky River's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for North Ridgeville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
Rocky River will play host again and welcome Bay, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. As for North Ridgeville, they will head out on the road to face off against Elyria at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Elyria is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
