While fans of Caney Valley might be used to big wins, the 57-point margin marked the team's biggest victory yet this season.
Caney Valley pushed their record up to 6-4-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.0 points per game. As for Cherryvale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caney Valley will take on Commerce at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cherryvale, they will head out on the road to challenge Humboldt at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Humboldt will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Cherryvale surely won't give up without a fight.
