Columbia had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Salem Wildcats as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering Columbia have won ten contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Salem from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Riley Mathews led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Columbia pushed their record up to 17-2-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three matches. As for Salem, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Columbia wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against Freeburg on the 7th. As for Salem, they have also already played their next contest, a 4-2 loss against Greenville on the 7th.
