Kyleigh Baker made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Baker was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central got a massive performance out of Keely Williams, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Cloe Morgan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Clarksburg ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Bradford 13-12. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over eight innings while giving up just two earned (and ten unearned) runs off 11 hits. The dominant performance gave Milam a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Libby Autry was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Alyssa Belew was another key player, scoring three runs while going 2-for-5.
The victory got Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central back to even at 1-1. As for Clarksburg, their record now sits at 2-0.
Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central beat Clarksburg 4-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
