The Dillard Panthers entered their tilt with the Pompano Beach Golden Tornadoes with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Dillard took down the Golden Tornadoes 57-43 on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Dillard, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the loss, Pompano Beach still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Berwig, who scored 13 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Berwig hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Watson, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Dillard's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for Pompano Beach, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.
Dillard will square off against the Flying L's at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Florida (Fort Lauderdale is ranked 242nd, while the Panthers are ranked 239th). As for Pompano Beach, they will face off against the Raiders at TBD on Tuesday. Glades Central is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
