Baseball Recap: Trumann Comes Up Short

Trumann lost to Lonoke on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Jackrabbits, falling 13-7. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Braydon Passmore made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Trumann: the team is 6-3 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-2-1 otherwise. Jace Bennett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run.

Trumann's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-1. As for Lonoke, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.

Trumann has already played their next game, a 22-4 win against Bay on the 3rd. As for Lonoke, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-1 victory against Vilonia on the 3rd.
