There's no place like home for the Lyndhurst Golden Bears, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 41-24 win over Hasbrouck Heights on Wednesday.
Lyndhurst's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Asya Akar, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Akar is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Harper, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Lyndhurst's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. As for Hasbrouck Heights, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-6.
Lyndhurst will square off against the Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hasbrouck Heights, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m.
