Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Lyndon Tigers walked away with it. They took their contest on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-6 win over Cair Paravel. The win was just business as usual for Lyndon, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Lyndon had a senior duo take command as Tanner Heckel rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries and Jalen Massey gained 162 total yards and four touchdowns. Heckel is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last three games he's played. Casten Wirth made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Lyndon's victory bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Cair Paravel, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
Lyndon will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Wichita County at 11:00 a.m. on November 25th. Wichita County is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Cair Paravel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
