Softball Recap: West Genesee Has No Trouble Against East Syracuse-Minoa

After only two runs in their last contest, West Genesee made sure to put some runs up on the board against East Syracuse-Minoa on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Spartans 16-5. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Brooke Bresadola was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanna Bowman, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

West Genesee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got West Genesee back to even at 2-2. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Genesee will face off against Central Square at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they will take on Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
