Etowah is 0-10 against Fort Payne since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Etowah Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Fort Payne Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Etowah is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Monday, Etowah beat Westbrook Christian 40-33. The victory was just what Etowah needed coming off of a 58-22 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, Fort Payne waltzed into their matchup Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 46-42 W over Oxford.
Etowah's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Fort Payne, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Etowah was taken down by Fort Payne 58-26 when the teams last played back in November. Can Etowah avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
