The Johnsonville Flashes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 74-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hemingway. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Johnsonville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taysawn Brown, who scored 16 points. It was the first time this season that Brown scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Khalil Lewis, who scored 16 points.
Johnsonville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Hemingway, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-22.
Johnsonville will take on Burke at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Johnsonville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Hemingway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
