The Walt Whitman Wildcats are on the road again on Friday and play against the Sachem North at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Walt Whitman put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Patchogue-Medford 48-7 on the road. Given Walt Whitman's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Patchogue-Medford is ranked 520th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Sachem North entered their tilt with Connetquot with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Sachem North walked away with a 31-23 victory over Connetquot on Friday.
Their wins bumped Walt Whitman to 4-4 and Sachem North to 6-2.
Walt Whitman beat Sachem North 17-7 when the teams last played back in October. The rematch might be a little tougher for Walt Whitman since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
