Bend won the last time they faced Summit and things went their way on Friday too. The Lava Bears were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Storm. Considering the Lava Bears have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bend is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Summit, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bend will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ridgeview at 4:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Summit, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Redmond at 4:30 p.m. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
