Athens had a senior duo take command as Alyvia Haehlke had six aces and three digs and Vanessa Espinoza had 13 digs. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Espinoza.
Athens was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Prentice only served nine.
Despite the loss, Prentice still got an impressive performance from Leah Lord, who had 51 kills, 17 digs, five aces, and one block. Lord is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season. Piper Heikkinen was another key player, getting 25 digs and two assists.
Athens' win bumped their record up to 10-18. As for Prentice, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-10 record this season.
