The Bandys Trojans will venture away from home to face off against the Bunker Hill Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bandys comes in on eight and Bunker Hill on three.
Bandys made up a huge gap compared to their last game against West Caldwell, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Trojans blew past the Warriors 11-1 on Monday. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.
Piper Barrymore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits.

On the hitting side, Bandys got a massive performance out of Jessie Sipe, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Sipe has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Barrymore, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bunker Hill). They never let Newton-Conover get on the board and left with an 18-0 win on Monday. With that victory, the Bears brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.
Kylie Killian and Serena Thurman were a major factor no matter where they played. Throwing, Killian tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Thurman pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Killian scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Thurman scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Anna Sigmon was a standout: she scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gracie Setzer, who went 1-for-2 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
Bunker Hill hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matchups.
Bandys' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Bunker Hill, their record is now 14-4.
