After flying high against the Harding Skippers last Monday, the Windham Bombers came back down to earth. Windham was beaten by Pymatuning Valley 59-26 on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Windham has scored all season.
Pymatuning Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raylyn Ballentine, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ballentine has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Painter, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Windham's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Pymatuning Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windham will take on St. John at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pymatuning Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge Berkshire at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Berkshire will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
