After soaring to 62 points the game before, the Thornton Trojans were a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Skyview, falling 72-25. Thornton has struggled against Skyview recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Skyview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jada Kemm, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Yzabella Tafoya, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Thornton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Skyview, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornton and Adams City will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Adams City is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Skyview, they will head out on the road to challenge Aurora Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Aurora Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
