Chenango Valley is 8-2 against Windsor Central since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Chenango Valley Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Windsor Central Black Knights at 11:45 a.m. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Chenango Valley and 15 for Windsor Central.
Chenango Valley pushed their score all the way to 58 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-58 to Chenango Forks. Chenango Valley has not had much luck with Chenango Forks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Meanwhile, 2024 welcomed Windsor Central with a 62-41 loss courtesy of Norwich two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, Windsor Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 677th, while Norwich is ranked 281st).
Chenango Valley bumped their record down to 4-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Windsor Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Everything came up roses for Chenango Valley against Windsor Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 60-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chenango Valley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
