Western Hills won the last time they faced Dunbar and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by  an  11-4 margin over the Wildcats. The Cougars not only won  on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win  since March 26, 2024.
 Trey Martinez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Giovanni Ramirez was  incredible,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Those  three  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Jacob Castillo also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 Western Hills  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dunbar only posted  an  OBP of  .393.
Western Hills' victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 2-15-1. As for Dunbar, their loss was  their fourth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 0-10-1.
Western Hills will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
