With a playoff game on the line, the Cypress Bay Lightning rose to the challenge on Thursday. They pulled ahead with a 30-29 photo finish over the Colts. The win was familiar territory for Cypress Bay who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cypress Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caleb Krivitzkin, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Julien Belle, who scored eight points.
Cypress Bay is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Coral Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 20-5.
Cypress Bay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 47-45 defeat vs. Western on the 10th. Coral Springs will face off against Coral Glades at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Glades has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 406 points over their last six matchups.
