Carbon Hill came into their game  on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost  10-4 to Hubbertville.
 Carbon Hill saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Samuel Aaron, who  went 1-for-4 with one  stolen base and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Aaron has posted since back in March of 2024.  Hunter Taylor also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Saturday Cordova sidestepped West Point for  a  4-3 victory.
Cordova also got a great performance from  Chesley Harbison as he  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits.
 On the hitting side, Cordova let  Lucas Vance and  Dylan Williams run wild. Vance  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases and one  RBI, while  Williams  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Cordova's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Carbon Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 Carbon Hill might still be hurting after the  12-4 defeat they got from Cordova  when the teams last played  back in February of 2024. Can Carbon Hill avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
