In what's become a running theme this season, the Thomson Bulldogs gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 68-33 victory over Laney on the road. Winning may never get old, but Thomson sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Thomson was led to victory by Paris Rosser and Ty?Leishiah Latimore. Rosser dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 assists, while Latimore scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. Latimore is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Dalysa Gilmore was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Laney lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chiquita Gaffney, who scored six points.
Thomson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season. As for Laney, they dropped their record down to 8-12 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.
Thomson will head out on the road to square off against Putnam County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Thomson is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Georgia (they are ranked 22nd, while Putnam County is ranked 112th). As for Laney, they will head out on the road to face off against Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Laney focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
