Aubrey Mayton (2026) was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hayden Hudson (2029), who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. She also launched a home run, marking her first of the season. Ruth Anne Torres (2026) was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Kenston Forest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Southampton Academy suffered their closest defeat since April 26, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of John Paul II Catholic by a score of 8-6.
