The San Ramon Valley Wolves will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Monte Vista Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Monte Vista took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on San Ramon Valley, who comes in off a win.
San Ramon Valley put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Foothill 45-14 at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.
Luke Baker had a dynamite game for San Ramon Valley, throwing for 385 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Scott, who picked up 200 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Monte Vista's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 31-7 loss at the hands of De La Salle. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, Monte Vista couldn't push the score so high this time.
The victory makes it two in a row for San Ramon Valley and bumps their season record up to 8-1. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 22.5 points. As for Monte Vista, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
