McClintock is 1-8 against Cactus Shadows since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The McClintock Chargers will head out on the road to face off against the Cactus Shadows Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
McClintock scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by Metro Tech on the road to the tune of 87-17. The win was familiar territory for McClintock who now have seven in a row.
McClintock found their leader in underclassman Lamaiya Woodberry, who scored 31 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Woodberry has scored all season. Malani Reynoso was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with two steals.
Cactus Shadows posted their biggest victory since December 12, 2023 on Monday. They blew past Chaparral, posting a 58-30 win on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cactus Shadows.
McClintock's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.2 points per game. As for Cactus Shadows, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Everything came up roses for McClintock against Cactus Shadows in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 64-34 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for McClintock since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
