Troy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. Everything went their way against the Sidney Yellowjackets as they made off with a 17-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won eight games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Troy's win bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Sidney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will face off against Tippecanoe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3, the Red Devils 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Sidney, they will square off against West Carrollton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.08 runs per game on average), something the Yellowjackets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
