Volleyball Recap: Cedartown's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

Cedartown can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Rockmart Yellowjackets. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets back in August, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

Cedartown didn't let Rockmart take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-22.

Cedartown's offense was headlined by Mary Kirsch and Bella Rosser, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Layla Jackson and her eight assists. Chloe Dingler and Michelle Bahena kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Cedartown's win bumped their record up to 10-25. As for Rockmart, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 15 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-25 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedartown will venture away from home to face off against Model at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rockmart, they will head out to challenge Haralson County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
