Basketball Recap: Eastern's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Eastern lost to Elwood back in February of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Eastern Comets walked away with a 51-42 victory over the Elwood Panthers. The win was nothing new for the Comets as they're now sitting on three straight.

When it comes to explaining why Elwood lost, don't look at Cam Gallegos. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Wooten, who had seven points.

Eastern's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Elwood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Coming up, Eastern will take on Lakeland Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeland Christian Academy will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Eastern surely won't give up without a fight. As for Elwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
