The Raleigh Charter Phoenix's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their tenth straight loss. The match between them and Research Triangle wasn't particularly close, with Raleigh Charter falling 67-51. Raleigh Charter was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raptors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Cade Wiggins continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Research Triangle, scoring 16 points along with eight assists and six steals. It was the first time this season that Wiggins posted eight or more assists. Omar WIley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Raleigh Charter dropped their record down to 2-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Research Triangle, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raleigh Charter's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Firebirds at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Research Triangle will take on the Eagles at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. That match will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Greyson Landphere and Wiggins.
