Shikellamy is 2-8 against Selinsgrove since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Shikellamy Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Selinsgrove Seals at 7:00 p.m. Shikellamy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Selinsgrove is ranked 40th).
Last Friday, Shikellamy had to suffer through a rough 55-6 loss at the hands of Southern Columbia Area. Shikellamy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Selinsgrove put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They didn't even let Midd-West onto the board and left with a 49-0 win. Considering Selinsgrove has won eight matches by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Selinsgrove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tucker Teats, who rushed for 100 yards and a touchdown. Teats hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for seven straight games. Ethan Miller was in the mix as well, providing Selinsgrove with two touchdowns.
Shikellamy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Selinsgrove, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0-1.
Shikellamy was taken down by Selinsgrove 54-14 in their previous meeting back in September. Can Shikellamy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
