Meanwhile, after only three points in their last matchup, Friendly made sure to put some points up on the board against Crossland on Monday. Friendly breezed by Crossland on the road to the tune of 62-20. With Friendly ahead 38-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Jasmine Germany and Sanaa Thomas were among the main playmakers for Friendly as the former scored 18 points along with four steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 rebounds set a new season-high mark for Thomas. Another player making a difference was Kayla Carroll, who scored five points.
Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1. As for Friendly, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Everything came up roses for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North against Friendly in their previous matchup back in December of 2018 as the team secured a 54-14 win.
