Heartland III recap Nov. 7, 2012
Bloomsburg moved up to 156 from 189 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Heartland III. The Panthers climbed the ranks as a result of beating Central Columbia 34-12.
Southern Columbia Area extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Warrior Run, 50-19. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Anthony Barberio and Troy Hembury gave Muncy a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Barberio threw for 119 yards and three touchdowns, while Hembury ran for 102 yards. Teammate Jeff Scott added to the ground attack by rushing for 16 yards.
Corey KRINER was the best wideout in the league this week as Montgomery lost to South Williamsport. KRINER tallied four receptions for 52 yards. Colton HARER helped Montgomery's passing attack out by catching 10 balls for 22 yards.
The Red Raiders' Matthew BOONE and HARER have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Heartland III in both passing and receiving yards. BOONE has thrown for 1327 yards this season, while HARER, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has 76 catches for 816 yards. Hembury from the Indians leads the league in rushing with 1183 yards.
