Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Red Mountain Mountain Lions walked away with it. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Pinnacle 27-24. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Red Mountain was the better team in the second half.
Red Mountain got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was IsaiaH Savoie out in front who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Savoie is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Red Mountain also got help from Bode Wagner who showed off his sure hands for 105 receiving yards.
The victory makes it two in a row for Red Mountain and bumps their season record up to 6-6. As for Pinnacle, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Red Mountain will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Brophy College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Brophy College Prep is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. Pinnacle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
