The Thales Academy Apex Titans will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 On Wednesday, Thales Academy Apex never let their opponents score. They blew past Neuse Christian Academy 10-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Thales Academy Apex considering their one-run performance the  matchup before.
  Darion Ghazaleh was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two  RBI and a  double.  Rylan Sheldon was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Meanwhile, the third road  game was the charm for St. Thomas More Academy, as they earned their first road win of the season. They walked away with  a   7-4  win over Friendship Christian  on Tuesday.
  Tyler Vincent made a splash no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Vincent was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Chris Zwirblia, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while going 3-for-4.
 Thales Academy Apex is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record  this season. As for St. Thomas More Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Friday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Thales Academy Apex has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.5  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like St. Thomas More Academy struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 9.9. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
