Make it 18 blowout wins for the Dickinson Gators this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Clear Lake 88-55 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Dickinson who now have 17 in a row.
Jazmine Hansley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 40 points along with six assists and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Lindsey Scott was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with 18 rebounds and six steals.
Clear Lake's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jazmine Klausmeier, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kirsten Lippold, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Dickinson pushed their record up to 28-4 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.1 points per game. As for Clear Lake, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-16.
Dickinson's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Clear Creek will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 325th, while the Gators are ranked 84th). As for Clear Lake, they will play host again and welcome the Knights, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
