The Rehoboth Christian Lynx will head out on the road to face off against the Laguna Acoma Hawks at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rehoboth Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.4 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, Rehoboth Christian made easy work of Northwest and carried off a 17-1 win. The Lynx haven't had any issues with the Falcons recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Sage West, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April of 2024. Kayelynn Spencer also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Rehoboth Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
Hozho Academy typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Laguna Acoma proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Wolves by a score of 15-10. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hawks as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Laguna Acoma got a massive performance out of Ciandra Lucero, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Madelyn Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
Rehoboth Christian's record now sits at 10-6. As for Laguna Acoma, their record is now an identical 10-6.
Laguna Acoma's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Rehoboth Christian has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.8 hits per game. It's a different story for Laguna Acoma, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Rehoboth Christian's sizable advantage in that area, the Hawks will need to find a way to close that gap.
