The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lutheran-Northeast in their matchups with Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family: they've now lost four in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lutheran-Northeast lost, one person who can't be blamed is Delaney Rose-hancock. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Suckstorf, who scored four points along with seven rebounds.
Lutheran-Northeast struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family pulled down 20 offensive rebounds.
Claire Korth was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family. Korth set a new season high mark in assists with five. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Korth, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Lutheran-Northeast's loss was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lutheran-Northeast will be home for the holidays to greet Homer at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
