Big Game from Pearson As Tri-County Won 52-8
Starting off the list is Tri-County's Jonathan Pearson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Pearson rushed for 139 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 114 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Unfortunately for North Newton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Pearson. Pearson rushed for 123 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in October of 2023.

Hughes Made His Presence Known in West Central's 26-14 Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Christian Hughes stepped things up a notch to give West Central the 'W'. Hughes turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.
West Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. They and LaVille are set to duel on Friday.

Kevin Martinez Makes It Two for Tri-County
The second Tri-County player making an appearance here is Kevin Martinez, and for good reason. He rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
This season, Martinez has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 73 rushing yards per game.

Drea Villarreal Makes It Two for West Central
Another West Central player making an appearance on this list is Drea Villarreal. He rushed for 41 yards.
On the year, Villarreal has averaged 90.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 16.78 rushing yards per game.

Rounding off our Top Five is Lucas Bogucki of South Newton. Bogucki rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown.
South Newton is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6. Bogucki and South Newton will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against North Judson-San Pierre at 7:00 p.m.
