Dayspring Christian Academy had won three straight at home, but on Tuesday they bumped their record up to 13-3 to make it four. They blew past the Dawson School Mustangs 14-2. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.
Gage Davis made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josiah Rodriguez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. On Dawson School's side, Milo Richtel was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-2.
