Willis hadn't done well against The Woodlands recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Everything went the Willis Wildkats' way against The Woodlands Highlanders as the Willis Wildkats made off with an 84-61 victory. The Wildkats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Willis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tyshon Nixon, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten assists. That's the most assists Nixon has posted since back in November of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Chandler Beasley, who went 9 for 18 en route to 25 points and eight rebounds.

Willis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Willis is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for The Woodlands, they dropped their record down to 11-14 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Willis will face off against Cleveland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 627 places (410 vs. 1037). Willis is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.2 points per game this season. Meanwhile, The Woodlands (ranked 487th) will meet Caney Creek (ranked 1047th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
