If Stevens wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Marshall, they should've done a better job of containing Priscilla Menjares. The Marshall Rams took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 51-20 victory over the Stevens Falcons thanks in part to Menjares, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (two).
Another player making a difference was Aubrey Riojas, who posted five points along with six assists and five steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrea Ortega, who earned six points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssia Murphy, who scored five points.
The win made it two in a row for Marshall and bumps their season record up to 15-15. As for Stevens, they dropped their record down to 1-30 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
