The Sam Rayburn Texans were the 40-30 winner over the Dobie Longhorns when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Sam Rayburn fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of 42-40.
Despite the loss, Sam Rayburn still got an impressive performance from Yvette Gutierrez, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gutierrez has scored all season. Kimari Mikell was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Sam Rayburn's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Dobie, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18.
Sam Rayburn will take on the Deer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Deer Park is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games. Dobie does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
