If Beech Grove wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, they should've done a better job of containing Devin Bolden. The Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter Raiders walked away with a 77-66 win over the Beech Grove Hornets on Wednesday thanks in part to Bolden, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 15 boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (five).

Nathan Smith was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten assists. He is becoming a predictor of Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter's success: when he posts at least eight assists the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't).

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bishop Moore, who went 6-for-11 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Moore is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tyris Reid, who went 5-for-12 on his way to 15 points and five steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter, bringing their record for this year to 13-5. As for Beech Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Looking ahead, Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter will venture away from home to challenge Triton Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Triton Central likes a good challenge. As for Beech Grove, they will be playing at home against Monrovia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
