The Doctors Charter Hawks will head out on the road to face off against the Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Doctors Charter blew past Cushman, posting a 64-20 win on the road. The victory was just what Doctors Charter needed coming off of a 61-26 loss in their prior game.
Meanwhile, even though Sports Leadership & Management scored an imposing 65 points on Monday, Sheridan Hills Christian still came out on top. Sheridan Hills Christian enjoyed a cozy 83-65 win over Sports Leadership & Management. Given Sheridan Hills Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 210th, while Sports Leadership & Management is ranked 522nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sheridan Hills Christian's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Micah Smith, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 14 rebounds, and Elias Feliz, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Feliz's fifth in a row with at least ten points. AJ Seay was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Monsignor Pace's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Doctors Charter's loss dropped theirs to 0-1.
