Umatilla and North Marion squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Umatilla had to settle for second. They fell 6-2 to the Colts.

Wyatt Strawbridge made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Umatilla: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 10-11 otherwise.

Umatilla has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-12 record this season. As for North Marion, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.
