It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Mancos Bluejays had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 38-0 victory over Sedgwick County. Considering Mancos has won nine games by more than 29 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Kail Wayman was his usual excellent self, rushing for 133 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 115 yards and three touchdowns on only six passes. Chris Medina was another key contributor, rushing for 74 yards and a touchdown.
The victory (which was Mancos' seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1. As for Sedgwick County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Mancos will be playing at home against Lyons at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lyons has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 618 points over their last 11 matchups. Sedgwick County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
