Softball Recap: Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts Comes Up Short

Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-1 to the La Salle Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 on Wednesday.

Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Dean, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Dean is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played.

Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts' loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for La Salle, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milwaukie/Milwaukie Academy of the Arts will square off against Parkrose at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs are facing the Broncos at the right time seeing as the Broncos are stuck on a 20-game losing streak. As for La Salle, they will face off against Canby at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Falcons have won five straight at home, while the Cougars won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
